Life Lives in my Absence
Sounds of silence embody the mind and soul;
When I'm away the streams still flow,
the mountain air continues to breathe,
the ocean waves lay upon the shore,
the brisk night air still chills the spine,
and the sun will soon quiet the voices of the dark.
I will not be present, nor will I witness, however,
the mysteries of life live in my absence.
